One of the largest and most sociable clubs at UEA, the hockey club is a great place to meet new people and, most importantly, have fun, both on and off the pitch.

About Us

On the pitch: We offer a good range of hockey for both beginners and more experienced players alike. We train weekly and are represented in the world renowned East Leagues we also compete against other Universities (and polys) in BUSA. Once the main season is over we compete in mixed tournaments and of course there is the highlight of the year, our annual tour.

Off the pitch: The social side of UEAHC is something of a campus legend, with a section of the LCR named after us. There are always nights out either involving or inspired by hockey, with regular pubcrawls and the standard Saturday pre-LCR mash up. The Hockey Club has 3 big formal events, the Christmas Ball, Annual Dinner and Presidential, which are guaranteed highlights of the year.

We also offer a great way to waste time when you should be studying called the forum, where you can join in debate, nonsense and banter - occasionally useful information is posted too, such as team sheets or how to obtain a EHIC card for tour.

Training

The mens and ladies clubs train separately at our astro pitches that are located at the university Sportspark. Training takes place on Monday and Friday evenings for an hour and a half.

Mens Training Times: Monday 8.30pm - 10pm and Friday 5pm - 6.30pm

Ladies Training Times: Monday 7pm - 8.30pm and Friday 6.30pm - 8pm
